Multiplayer Squad Horror Game GTFO Receives its Biggest Update Ever — Raising the Total Expedition Mission Count to 58
10 Chambers — a Swedish game development studio composed of industry veterans known for PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 — showcased today a surprise trailer highlighting the biggest update in GTFO history: ALT://Rundown 5.0 — Rebirth. The free update adds 13 new expeditions to GTFO, bringing the total up to 58 expeditions to play through together with your friends. ALT://Rundown 5.0 — Rebirth releases today and is the latest value add for the critically acclaimed cooperative shooter.
In the pulse-pounding trailer for GTFO’s ALT://Rundown 5.0 —Rebirth update, the prisoners descend into the deep underground, with intense firefights to follow. There’s a sighting of a terrifying monster lurking in the dark… no doubt it’s not the last. With the latest addition to GTFO’s series of post-launch updates, the only thing that remains the same is that survival is far from guaranteed.

GTFO is a terrifying, hardcore cooperative multiplayer shooter where good teamwork means the difference between life and death. Cast in a four-player team of prisoners held against their will by a mysterious entity called “The Warden,” survival depends on a team’s ability to communicate, coordinate, and manage their ammunition. To The Warden, they’re all expendable. GTFO uses a concept called Rundowns, which are regular game updates that add new expeditions (maps, scenarios, enemies, etc.). These updates are free for everyone that owns GTFO.
“Here’s where I usually say, there’s never been a better time to buy GTFO because of all the newly added content, and the game is bigger than ever,” says Robin Björkell. “But the fact is, I would advise everyone that still doesn’t own GTFO to wait until June 19th. It might save you a few bucks!”
