Nebia, Silicon Valley Shower Start-up Announces Series A Investment from Moen, and Launches New Products on Kickstarter

San Francisco, CA – Award-winning startup Nebia announces Series A investment from Moen. The Silicon Valley startup partnered with Moen, which boasts 75 years of industry leading experience, to develop the Nebia Spa Shower 2.0. The latest innovation boasts an optimized version of its H2MicroTM fluid and thermal technology, translating to a hotter shower with the feeling of more pressure, while saving 65% of water compared to a conventional shower. The Nebia Spa Shower 2.0 launches on Kickstarter on February 12.

To date, the Nebia community has saved over 100 million gallons of water with 16,000 units sold. The company is on track to save over 1 billion gallons of water by the year 2021. The partnership with Moen is central to scaling the technology and together maximizing the impact.

Nebia’s team has meticulously enhanced the key variables that make a great shower. Leveraging simulation software ANSYS, often used to develop rocket engines and aerodynamics models, Nebia 2.0’s spray pattern is now perfectly positioned to maximize the water that comes into contact with your skin. This, combined the increased droplet size, results in an enveloping curtain of millions of droplets of water, transforming any bathroom into a spa.

The concept of Nebia was born in Mexico City where Nebia Co-Founder Carlos Gomez Andonaegui ran a national health club chain and endeavored to reduce the water used by its 100,000 daily gym-goers. In 2014, Gomez Andonaegui and Winter brought the idea to San Francisco. There they met Co-Founder Gabriel Parisi-Amon, a mechanical engineer working on the iPhone team at Apple.

Nebia 2.0 is available in two brand-new finishes of high-grade powder coated aluminum, Matte Silver and Matte Black. On February 12, Nebia will also launch the Nebia Shelf to enhance your shower routine and complement the modern Nebia aesthetic.
