Indie videogame developer Duonix Studios announced today its single-player horror game 10 Dead Doves is available now on Steam for $19.99 USD (a 20% discount). In this narrative-driven title, players will face strange sights, forgotten mysteries and bone-chilling gameplay as they navigate through the oldest mountains on Earth.
Reminiscent of PS1-era classics like Grim Fandango and Resident Evil, 10 Dead Doves takes players to the deep forests of Appalachia. After birds mysteriously begin falling dead from the sky, two friends set out on one of the world’s most challenging hiking trails to find the truth behind the holy grail of urban legends: a mysterious, mythical place known in whispers as the Ant Farm, rumored to make your dreams come true.

Set at the turn of the millenia, 2004, players take on the character of The Most Pathetic Man on Earth, Marcus Stetson. Marcus is a seasoned backpacker with his sights set on hiking the Appalachian Trail. Mark has pooled his resources with his firecracker friend, Sean, and together are set on reliving their glory days, embarking on one last mission.
As they embark on their journey, their grit, tenacity, and wit are put to the test as Mark experiences a series of messages delivered in cryptic dreams by a haunting, bird-like figure named The Wren. Why are the birds dropping dead? Will you solve the mystery of the mountains… or leave behind nothing but footprints?
