Build a Rocket Boy Launches MindsEye: BLACKLISTED Update; Announces Permanent Price Reduction

Today, following the acquisition of publishing rights from IOI Partners, independent game studio Build a Rocket Boy announced a permanent price reduction for the cinematic sci-fi action-adventure game MindsEye. Alongside the price update, players who purchase MindsEye can access the BLACKLISTED story mission, featuring espionage, deceit, and sabotage in Redrock City, via ARCADIA, an evolving hub of playable content with ongoing drops of missions, races, puzzles, and challenges.

Starting today, MindsEye is available on Windows PC (via Steam and the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at a new SRP of $34.99 for the Standard Edition and $47.99 for the Deluxe Edition (standalone upgrade price now $17.99).

In MindsEye: BLACKLISTED, players step into the role of Julia Black, a world-class assassin deployed by Meridian to Redrock City. Her mission is simple: eliminate the key targets and shut down a deadly deal. Working for Meridian, an agency under pressure from both external forces and internal threats, every move Julia makes carries risk. Julia must infiltrate the criminal network, sabotage a deadly deal, and expose the truth.

Mark Gerhard, Co-CEO & CTO of Build a Rocket Boy, stated the following:

BLACKLISTED marks the first new story campaign for MindsEye since launch, and we’re excited to welcome players back to Redrock City to experience it in a new way. Rather than traditional DLC, BLACKLISTED is delivered through our user-generated content platform ARCADIA, which is built into MindsEye.”

He continued, “Now is the perfect time to experience MindsEye, with over a year of enhancements, new content, and a more accessible price of entry. We look forward to continuing to expand MindsEye and ARCADIA, and seeing what players and creators will accomplish next.”

In addition to the BLACKLISTED mission, the latest update for MindsEye introduces new improvements across the core game, as well as adds new PC features to BUILD.ARCADIA — MindsEye’s built-in user-generated content platform that allows players to create new game experiences. New nodes include Point of Interest, Get Weapon Status, On Weapon Status Changed, and NPC Ambient Voice, along with improvements to several existing nodes. These nodes give ARCADIA builders new creation tools and options, enabling them to create even more immersive and engaging experiences.
