Beat the Heat: Aquapark Tycoon Launches in Early Access This Month!

The staff has been trained, the slides are polished, and the water sparkles invitingly in the sunlight: At the Erlangen-based indie studio Boxelware, final preparations are underway for the grand opening of Aquapark Tycoon! On July 22, 2026, the tycoon game officially launches in Early Access on Steam.

In Aquapark Tycoon, players design their dream water park entirely on their own – from the first simple splash pool to the huge spectacular slide. With countless building elements, there are no limits to creativity (even if the structural integrity of especially wild slide designs might not quite keep up). Piece by piece, a sprawling water park full of attractions takes shape: everyone will find their perfect pool, and every adrenaline junkie will discover their dream slide with dizzying heights and tight curves. Prefer to take it easy? Just head over to the wellness area, where sauna temperature, humidity, and even steam infusions can be fine-tuned to players’ liking.

Since the first playable demos, Boxelware has improved every aspect of the game: In addition to numerous gameplay enhancements, expanded management features, and more building options and attractions, the development team has also added a co-op mode that lets players team up with friends to create their very own water park. The new Free Play mode is all about relaxing and building without limits, all at players’ own pace. On top of that, there’s a Twitch integration for all streamers, allowing them to welcome their community right into their own water park.

• Swimming pools with customizable shape, temperature, depth, and water type, plus numerous attractions
• A feature-rich slide editor with full creative control
• Physics-based slide and wave simulation for a realistic sliding and water experience
• Saunas with freely selectable shape, temperature, humidity, and furnishings, plus customizable infusion schedules featuring heavenly scents
• Park management, including finances, marketing, decor, and employee management
• Dynamic seasonal changes during park operations, as well as day-and-night cycles
• 13 playable scenarios with different objectives, possibilities, and challenges
• 18 shops for food, drinks, and merchandise
• 4 themed worlds: Pirates, Fantasy, Tropics, and Antiquity
• Online co-op mode to design water parks with friends
• Free-play mode with customizable parameters and 8 biomes
• Twitch integration brings viewers into the water park as guests
