Charlotte, NC – The new WORX® 20V, 20 in. Pole Hedge Trimmer reaches up to 12 ft. to groom tall or overgrown hedges, shrubs and bushes. It also features a 10-position, adjustable head that allows precise, level cutting in hard-to-reach areas, such as the top of high hedges, beneath bushes or between hedges and buildings.
Late winter through early spring is the best time to trim many popular hedges and shrubs. The WORX 20V, 20 in. Pole Hedge Trimmer is ideally suited to tackle this important annual yard chore, and more. Most deciduous, non-flowering hedges need maintenance trimming before new leaf buds appear. Spring-flowering hedges and shrubs usually are trimmed immediately after blooming has ended. Evergreens need cutting back for size and shape in spring, followed by light summer trimming to prevent overgrowth. Broken, overgrown or diseased branches also should be removed throughout summer.
The pole hedge trimmer is equipped with 20 in. hardened steel, dual-action, blades that are laser cut to provide smooth, clean shearing with minimal vibration. Blades operate at 1,340 strokes-per-minute (spm), and are able to cut branches up to 5/8 in. diameter.
The innovative pole hedge trimmer is equipped with a 10-position, adjustable head that allows precision cutting at a range of angles, including: -45o, -30o, -15o, 0o, 15o, 30o, 45o, 60o, 75o and 90o. The blades can be quickly and easily repositioned to reach difficult-to-access areas, while allowing the operator to maintain a comfortable posture. Thus, much of the stooping, twisting and stretching usually associated with hedge trimming is eliminated.
Weighing only 7.6 lbs., the pole hedge trimmer is easy to lift and maneuver. The tool-less, telescoping pole can be readily adjusted for the most efficient reach and sweep to trim each hedge. Also, the rear handle rotates 180 degrees for easy vertical or horizontal trimming. Overmold inside the handle provides a sure grip for control and comfort.
The pole hedge trimmer is powered by a 20V Max Lithium, 2.0Ah battery with a built-in power gauge indicator to show the charge level. The 20V battery pack is part of the WORX Power Share program and is compatible with 35 other WORX lawn and garden and DIY tools.
