Dark Fantasy ExtrAction RPG “Gods, Death & Reapers” Reveals Dates for Next Closed Alpha

Today, Wolcen Studio revealed a fresh look at its upcoming Dark Fantasy ExtrAction RPG Gods, Death & Reapers during the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted 2025 and announced that the next Closed Alpha will open on December 18 at 4 AM EST / 1 AM PST / 10 AM CET.

Running through December 20 at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST / 10 PM CET, the Alpha will be available to players across North America, Europe, South America, and Southeast Asia. This round will focus on immediate improvements shaped by community feedback and features a limited-time holiday event exclusive to the Alpha.

What to Expect in the Next Closed Alpha

This Alpha introduces the next wave of updates to Gods, Death & Reapers, created in collaboration with the community as an active part of the development process. Additional information will follow as we get closer to launch, but players can expect continued improvements in key areas, including:

• Balancing and bug fixes
• Quality-of-life updates in light of the community’s feedback
• A limited-time, holiday-themed event exclusive to this Alpha

Wolcen Studio will share a full breakdown of new features and changes ahead of the Alpha’s opening on December 18.

About Gods, Death, & Reapers

Shaped by community feedback, this Alpha continues to refine the game’s combat, exploration, and overall sense of discovery. Gods, Death & Reapers drops players into an underworld left in turmoil after the gods vanished, now filled with myth-inspired realms. Guided by Death, players take on objectives, confront dangerous enemies or rival Reapers, and attempt to escape with valuable loot. Each mission begins in the Sanctuary, a customizable base for upgrades and planning, and every run hinges on the same core choice: extract with rewards or fall and lose it all.

Gods, Death & Reapers is set to release for Windows PC via Steam Early Access in 2026. Players can wishlist the game and register playtest interest on Steam. Anyone who joined earlier playtests retains access to all future Closed Alpha builds.
