Originally known for its faction-driven warfare, strategic progression, and competitive territorial gameplay, WildGuns returns as a faithful revival of the core experience players remember. The relaunch preserves the distinctive atmosphere and systems that defined the original, while introducing subtle refinements to pacing and usability, to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for modern audiences.

“At its heart, WildGuns is about rivalry, strategy, and the thrill of rising through the ranks in a living frontier,” said Andrew Peggs, Product Manager for Browser Games at Gameforge. “Our focus has been on protecting the soul of the game — the tension between nations, the player-versus-player competition — while ensuring it feels responsive and rewarding from the very first ride.”

In WildGuns, players choose between three rival nations — Native Americans, Cowboys, or Mexicans — each vying for dominance across the prairies. By developing their character, completing dangerous missions, earning gold and reputation, and challenging other players for land and influence, players forge their own path toward power and renown.

The relaunch will begin on fresh-start servers, offering an equal playing field for all participants. No legacy advantages carry over, ensuring that every player begins their journey on even ground as the new frontier opens.

Community engagement will play a central role in the revival. Alongside the announcement, Gameforge is launching an official WildGuns Discord server, designed to serve as the gathering place for returning gunslingers and new challengers alike. Pre-launch activities, direct communication with the team, and opportunities for dedicated players to step forward as future community moderators will all be part of the initiative.designed to serve as the gathering place for returning gunslingers and new challengers alike. WildGuns is returning because our community never stopped asking for it,” said Tom Burck, Chief Officer of Customers and HR at Gameforge. “Following the strong reception we saw when bringing back other classic browser titles, it became clear that players value these worlds and the memories attached to them. We listen carefully to that passion, and this relaunch reflects our commitment to giving these beloved experiences new life when it is possible, and it makes sense to do so.”

While the initial release focuses on delivering the core WildGuns experience fans remember, the team is already exploring ways to expand the frontier in the future, including potential additions to the game’s PvE landscape.

WildGuns will return soon. Players eager to claim their place in the Wild West can join the official Discord today and prepare to fight for land, gold, and glory.
