GoodTaste! Pittsburgh, the region’s premiere producer of culinary shows, is resuming in-person events with a scrumptious new offering. BBQ, Bourbon & Brews will take place inside and outside at the Monroeville Convention Center on Saturday, August 28 from 2 – 7 p.m.
A saucy celebration of summer’s best tastes, the event’s prime sponsor is the purveyor of Pittsburgh’s favorite BBQ sauce – Isaly’s. Additional sponsors include Wigle Whiskey, Visit Monroeville and the Monroeville Convention Center. BBQ, Bourbon & Brews will feature a wide range of delicious meat offerings ranging from mouthwatering BBQ chicken sandwiches to half racks of juicy ribs, plus corn on the cob and all the best BBQ sides! Among the many vendors expected to be on hand is BBQ Stu with his award-winning sauce.
Attendees can also enjoy select whiskey and bourbon pours from Wigle Whiskey and other local distillers. The suds will flow from several popular craft breweries, including Duck Rabbit Brew, Fat Heads, Founders, Mighty Swell Hard Cider, Recon, Terrapin and Two Roads – Too Juicy.
Other fun beyond the food will include music by Jordan McLaughlin and the 4th Hour Country Band; Lumberjaxes Axe Throwing; Hole In One golf game; and Vanessa The Balloon Artist.
Food and beverage samples are not included in the admission price, but an abundant supply of free napkins will be available – though true BBQ aficionados will surely opt for the finger-licking method!
“Pittsburgh’s food and beverage scene is exciting and vast,” explained Show Producer, Dee Weinberg. “We created this event to give locals a chance to taste the best of the Burgh’s beer, bourbon and barbecue sauces.”
